The World Heritage City of Cartagena de Indias will be the official venue for the Cruise Dialogue 2020, this event organised by the “Universidad de los Andes” will take place in Cartagena, from 19 to 21 February of 2020.
The city of Cartagena de Indias is recognized as a Caribbean tourist and port locality, with national and international recognition for its historical-cultural values, its people with a great sense of belonging, and its strong commitment to preserve the city as a sustainable destination at the economic, socio-cultural and environmental levels.
As a tourist destination, the city of Cartagena aims to generate knowledge and awareness regarding the proper use, maintenance and preservation of the natural, cultural and historical heritage it offers. Giving priority to strategic planning and in the development of policies that include sustainability and collective work in social and institutional actors, encouraging friendly attitudes from tourists to the environment, culture and society.
Cartagena de Indias is much more. It has the charm of South American colonial cities but with the modernity of the 21stcentury. Here it is possible to organize, for example, a dream wedding, a business congress, or an event with the most important leaders in the world, as it has hotel infrastructure, convention centers and service providers that meet international standards and are on the same level as the best global destinations.
Cartagena de Indias is also cultural tourism, with its music and film festivals, its museums, the chair and mausoleum of the immortal Gabriel García Márquez, its Independence Festivals, and the many events that take place every month in the city.
